As Owner and CEO of the New England Storm, it is with pride and appreciation that I, along with the entire coaching and management staff of the New England Storm welcome you to the official website of the New England Storm. The New England Storm is proud to announce its fifth season of womenís professional football. We will continue to provide great football and superb women's athleticism to the East Coast and we are confidant that we have put in place a top-notch staff for the 2006 season. The Storm coaches, administrative and support staff is among the very best in New England, and with the core of returning veteran players, there is no doubt that a Championship is in our future.
As many are aware, strength and conditioning is one of the cornerstones of our professional football team. Our goal of being the strongest, best-conditioned team in Women's Professional Football will be a direct factor in achieving a Championship this year! We are confident that the Storm are miles ahead in making womenís professional football the next favorite pastime in America. The returning 2006 players and the 2006 Storm potential players we have seen so far are tremendous athletes. Only the best have been chosen to play for the New England Storm Women's Professional Football Team. They should be very proud of themselves. Their talent, athleticism, initiative, perseverance and spirit have been recognized by members of the coaching staff myself and have earned them a spot on the Storm 2006 Roster. These are qualities found on winning teams. More importantly, they are found in successful people like the players on the Storm!
The Storm has gotten off to a challenging start this pre-season, but that will not stop us. I have taught my players over the years that we must build upon adversity and use it to create the most positive situation we can. That is exactly what we plan to do. They say that most of us are not ever aware of the moments in life that define our courage. Many of us can live our entire lives without ever finding the courage within ourselves. But I know this; each and every Storm player can confidently face her future knowing that she has faced that defining moment and walk away a more complete person because of it. They have all demonstrated courage, enthusiasm, professionalism and determination. I thank and respect them for that.
On behalf of the entire Storm franchise, I want to take just a moment to send a special thank you to all of our family, friends and fans for their participation and support in this most incredible undertaking. After all, it has been all of you that have been by our side cheering us on from the beginning, for five years now. For that you have all of the Storm Players' most sincere respect and gratitude. Thank you for your support! Go Storm!
